An ugly website can’t convert, can’t keep people interested and just plain does not do it’s job. I know what I like, I like to navigate through a site easily. I don’t like to be bombarded with ads or up-sells. And it has to be aesthetically pleasing. I’ve seen some really ugly sites while surfing around. I’ve been to some sites that might have had what I was looking for, but I couldn’t find it through the clutter.
If you own a website you think is the greatest since oreo cookies, it’s possible you’re the only one who does. How would you know for sure? Look at your analytic’s page. See what people are looking at, what the bounce rate is. And, most of all what the conversion rate is, if you have it set up. If you don’t, why not? If you have alot of traffic coming to your site and people are leaving that particular page start with the copy, try to improve upon it. Repost and test to see if the metrics change.
Not everyone sees your website the same. What you have to figure out is what the people who are buying your product like.
