What are you trying to accomplish by building a website? The obvious is that you want people to find you and buy your product or use your service. But what sets you apart from the next business doing the exact same thing. What can you offer that others can’t or don’t.  What can you offer your customer to make them remember you when it’s time to buy? Now is the time to start planning out what you are trying to accomplish with your website.

Do you want them to call you, fill out a lead generating form, download a book or white paper, subscribe to a news letter or your rss feed?

What do you want them to know about you? what’s in it for them to do business with you.

This is the planning stage so I want you to get the juices flowing, think about what you want your customer or lead to do once they get to your site. What information you want to provide that will help them to make a decision, find you, or buy your product.
